December 26- December 29, 2025 Week 26-Coihueco Branch, Coihueco

How was your Christmas? Mine was very fun. It was awesome and very hot ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ”ฅ

It's only been like 3 days since the last p-day, but it's p-day again!! So you get to hear from me again ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Christmas:

On Christmas Eve we had multizone zone conference in Chillan that was pretty lit. And then in that night we went to the branch president's house, and stayed until 12 midmight. We hung out and  played games and ate like turkey at like 11 at night. But that was pretty lit.

More about my area and branch:

So I'm in a city called Coihueco. It is a very small town and it is probably one of the most isolated areas in the mission. But, it is a very chill little town. We live in a field, and we have a nice view. Lots of the members have to drive like 1 hour + to church. But the "big city" next to us is chillan (It's about an hour away). We are in a stake called Chillan Nuble. The branch has like 30 members who come to church every Sunday, and the members are very nice.

Rest in peace Elder Holland. Now, y'all already know that because my fav apostle died I gotta make the spiritual thought about him. Elder Holland was by far my favorite apostle to listen to his general conference talks. I probably have listened to almost all of his talks.

But this whole week and honestly my whole mission of course, I've been studying the atonement of Jesus Christ.

I love this quote by Elder Holland:

"Brothers and sisters, one of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so. His solitary journey brought great company for our little version of that path—the merciful care of our Father in Heaven, the unfailing companionship of this Beloved Son, the consummate gift of the Holy Ghost, angels in heaven, family members on both sides of the veil, prophets and apostles, teachers, leaders, friends. All of these and more have been given as companions for our mortal journey because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His gospel. Trumpeted from the summit of Calvary is the truth that we will never be left alone nor unaided, even if sometimes we may feel that we are. Truly the Redeemer of us all said, “I will not leave you comfortless: [My Father and] I will come to you [and abide with you].”

Jesus suffered alone so we would never have to ๐Ÿ™

Well, I'll write to y'all next year!

December 17- December 25, 2025 Week 25-Coihueco Branch, Coihueco

Hola familia! Feliz navidad! Espero que hayan tenido una buena semana (I hope that you had a good week)! It was a another great week for me.

Writing this the night of the 24th. Tomorrow for p-day we are going to Chillan with our district, and we are going to play Dungeons and Dragons ๐Ÿ˜‚ I was sick this week for a day and my comp was like that was blessing because he was planning the D&D campaign for 10 hours that day ๐Ÿ˜‚

Highlights
- Our friend Andres was baptized Sunday!๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ
He's 15 and he's awesome! Funny story he got baptized in freezing cold water ๐Ÿ˜‚ Elder Jensen and I tried to fill the font. We got to the church at 7 and the drain was broken slightly so we couldn't put hot water ๐Ÿ˜‚ We tried to fix it but then we filled in with cold because it the pressure of the cold water was more and could fill faster than it drained. But that was a stressful few hours trying to fix the font.

-I have now throw up in 5 countries (US, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Chile๐Ÿ’ช) vamos por mas (going for more)

-Seeing the new sector and meeting all the members, shoutout rama (branch) Coihueco

-Not seeing 100 street dogs and 100 druggies every single day

-Conferencia multizona on Christmas Eve- about short, frequent and powerful lessons.

-Met a lot of the people and recent converts.  They are very interesting and very funny people ๐Ÿ˜‚

-Branch Christmas party. Ate some good food

This Christmas season i have been studying a lot of the crowning reason Jesus came to the Earth: the atonement

Mosiah 3:

7 And lo, he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even more than man can suffer, except it be unto death; for behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his anguish for the wickedness and the abominations of his people.

8 And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and his mother shall be called Mary.

9 And lo, he cometh unto his own, that salvation might come unto the children of men even through faith on his name; and even after all this they shall consider him a man, and say that he hath a devil, and shall scourge him, and shall crucify him.

10 And he shall rise the third day from the dead; and behold, he standeth to judge the world; and behold, all these things are done that a righteous judgment might come upon the children of men.

11 For behold, and also his blood atoneth for the sins of those who have fallen by the transgression of Adam, who have died not knowing the will of God concerning them, or who have ignorantly sinned.

I like this and I want to continue to grow my knowledge and my faith about the atonement and what Jesus Christ did for me personally.
When I got transfered to Coihueco, my ZL's were telling me that it was gunna get up to 110 and that this was going to help me understand the atonement of Jesus Christ.

Yeah thats it for me. Feel free to email me and ease the pain of the D&D. (jkjk)

Que tengan una buena navidad (Have a Merry Christmas)

He was comps with my favorite brother
(Garret saw this picture of a missionary that went to Tanner's mission hanging in the branch that he is currently serving in and he met the elders family.)

Oraba por tiempo como esto
(I used to pray for times like this)

Andres hizo su primer convenio con Dios!! ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ
(Andres made his first covenant with God)

Juegamos D&D (We played Dungeons and Dragons)

December 9- December 16, 2025 Week 24-Coihueco Branch, Coihueco

What's up fam?
I'm doing good here. I had another good week.

Transfers came and I am going to Chillian Nuble stake, in a city called Coihueco. Chilian is in the country but Coihueco is EVEN more the country. The nearest missionaries to my comp and I are an hour away. My comp's name is Elder Jensen from Springville Utah. I'm very excited but don't know what to expect besides sweating, cuz its gunna be 100 degrees ๐Ÿ˜‚

We had another great week, we put 2 people on baptismal date, which is kinda sad because I left, but it's the Lord's work not mine.

I liked the Christmas devotional talk called "Accept His Gift".

Luke 2:11
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
I liked one Christmas time in Sunday school my teacher, Brother Orndorff put this verse on the board with the YOU large and we put our names in it.
That still stuck with me, that Jesus Christ was born for me personally and all of y'all individually. And we need to CHOOSE to accept His gift.

Have a Merry Christmas

Remember the true reason of Christmas

December 2- December 8, 2025 Week 23 Centinela Branch, Talcahuano Chile

Another good week here in Talcahauno, Chile. My whole time in Chile, almost 4 months, I have been in the Centinela Branch/Ward in the Talcahauno Stake. It's on the coast and we have some beautiful views of the ocean and the sunsets. Transfers are next week. It's about 50/50 f I stay or leave - cuz normally 3 transfers is like the max, (which is what I have) but also if you start someone's training- you finish it. So we shall see, but I'm hoping I get transferred ngl.๐Ÿ˜‚(which means I'm gunna stay) But all be good either way.

Anyways that was a yap session about my area

*Highlights*
-played some hoops and had a bbq with the zone on pday and when to Concepcion.
-had some fire foods this week ngl- peep the google photos
-the grind continues, we be working hard to invite absolutely everyone to venir a Cristo (Come Unto Christ)

ZONE CONFERENCE:
Zone conference was actually lit, we talked a lot about obedience and like choosing to use our agency to be obedient. That part was fire don't get be wrong- but I liked a lot the practices and we watched a sports video about great teams being united- 2x ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

EXCHANGE WITH ELDER GORNIK;
Had another exchange with elder gordog in his sector, it's his first transfer so it was nice to have another son for the day๐Ÿ˜‚ but that was the first exchange I had in another sector since Oct 8- I had like 7 in a row in my sector so it was nice to leave.

Obedience:
"if you love me keep my commandments" this has been a massive focus in the mission the last few weeks, ever since I birthed a son. it has been really easy cuz I need to set a good example, but this is important to remember that I need to use my agency to not only keep the commandments but also the mission rules (mission rules part 10000X more difficult๐Ÿ˜‚)

The perfect example of obedience was Jesus Christ. He was so obedient to the will of the father "they were one in purpose." This man was perfect but he was still baptized to fulfill all righteous. And to set an example for us to follow
2 Nefi 31:5-7

Hoop reference:
If I stay in Centinela for a 4th transfer I'm gunna be like AD on the 2019 pelicans ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

That's a wrap fam
