March 24-March 30, 2026 Week 39-Coihueco Branch, Coihueco

 What is up!

How are y'all doing?
No voy a mentir (I'm not going to lie) I'm only writing this cuz my mother told me πŸ˜‚
Love you mother ❤️

-we had a fast this week as a zone and with another zone (all the missionaries in the city of chillan) to help people come to church.
I don't know the numbers exactly but as a zone we went from 9 attendances to 19!
What a miracle and power of faith!

Pday last the 30th we played basketball and ate pizza. (What more could a man want, besides JesusπŸ€—)

District council Tuesday, learned about to make specific plans for our friends so that they come to church

Our district is hilarious bro. its all elders and half of the elders say the most out of pocket stuffπŸ˜‚ and half of the council be in english πŸ˜‚

Intercambios with my DL elder Lopez. he's chilean so I was asking a bunch about chilean slang and history and stuff. He's a funny goofy guy πŸ˜‚ we put 3 people on date to be baptized during exchange😎
#diosesgrande

-I'm reading my journal from this week but i was yapping about Christlike attributes πŸ˜‚ and food and exercise. Not very helpful for an updateπŸ˜‚

Sweet dreams baby girl

March 17-March 23, 2026 Week 38-Coihueco Branch, Coihueco

 HOLA A TODOS!

What's up? how we doing?

Another awesome week down here in Chile. just living the life you know. Inviting all to come unto Christ by faith, repentance, baptism and receiving the holy ghost every day πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

I miss march madness, but good year to miss it #ripzags #ripbyu

We went to a print shop to print out papleitos (like a calendar to remind our friends of their commitments) and march madness brackets had come out and I had talked to the ZLs and we were going to do a pool as a zone. we didn't but I had printed out 24. I brought them to the conferencia multizona and people heard I had them. So after the conference I was like a drug dealer vending brackets πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

WHAT HAPPENED:
Ate KFC (shoutout Hermano Sierra) (estΓ‘ rico para chupar los dedos-it's fingering licking good)

It has cooled down here in Coihueco Chile (finally), but it is raining a lot. But when it is not raining it is perfect outside.

We had conferencia multizona. Lowkey a big let down not going to lie πŸ˜‚, until President and hermana lillo spoke. There was a lot of presentations about doing weekly and daily planning according to what preach my gospel says. And like who was not already doing that? But nah it was still good and I learned some great stuff that I shall apply.
But president and hermana lillo spoke about how the baptism isn't the ending point but we need to help our friends keep processing and help prepare them to go to the temple! I'm going to make this a big focus on helping my friends get baptized for their ancestors in the temple and help prepare them for their endowments.

Had conferencia de la estaca, in chillan which is like an hour away from us here in Coihueco, but we still had a friend in church and one of our recent converts.

Our friends:

Katalina, she is a 14 year old girl that her parents are coming back to the church who is not member. she is nice and very shy πŸ˜‚ she will be baptized in April most likely πŸ’ͺ

Carlos: he is 16 and he is awesome. he looks like he could be 25. But we played pingpong with him one day this week and that was pretty fun. He'll be baptized 5th of April πŸ˜Ž

we have some other friends but those are the notable ones.

Spiritual Thought:
During stake conference one of the counselors in the stake presidency spoke about Moroni 10:32, about denying ourselves of all ungodliness. Which basically means letting go of everything that keeps us from coming unto Christ. It was a great talk and he talked about putting off the natural man and letting God's will be the most important thing in our lives.
I listened to the talk "deny yourself of all ungodliness" by Neil A. Maxwell and I would recommend.
But I was reflecting on the questions:
What I am doing that I need to stop doing to be more like Christ?
What I am not doing that I need to start doing to be more like Christ?

I would invite you all to reflect in ways that you can draw closer to the Savior especially during general conference πŸ˜Ž

Muchas gracias por leer, que tengan una buena semana! (Thank you for reading and have a good week)

March 11-March 16, 2026 Week 37-Coihueco Branch, Coihueco

hola a todos, cΓ³mo estamos?

hope y'all are well
was another great week, not all that eventful but still very good.

For a little update, I'm still in the town of Coihueco for my 3rd transfer. I am with Elder Louder to finish up his training.
I have had like 10 people try to say Coihueco so here is how you say it COY-WAY-COE  (close enough)

some stuff that happened

had district council, our district is only elders

had an exchange with an elder from south Africa, Elder Mandaba and I told him I had been to south Africa ( i have). he didn't believe me until i starting spitting my ball knowledge about his country

met a guy from San Pedro Sula Honduras, shout my to my mom fr (she lives there)

there was a concert in coihueco for national women's day, shout out women

It was like 100 degrees now, and its like raining all the time rip

We should have some baptisms this month of march so thats awesome. So stay tuned for that.

I am reading the new testament. here's a verse that I liked:
Matthew 16:25

Thats about all I got for y'all
Next week I'll give y'all more details πŸ˜‚
PS. Disfruten viendo March Madness sin mΓ πŸ˜’😒😒 vamos zags fr (enjoy watching March Madness without me. Go Zags)

March 3-March 10, 2026 Week 36-Coihueco Branch, Coihueco

hola a todos que tal?

another great week πŸ˜Ž

Hope you all are doing well! Feel free to email me. I always read and enjoy to hear from y'all πŸ«Ά

first off after writing this i want to apologize to all people above the age of 20.  I promised myself I wouldn't speak in the young people jargon. I'll be better next week. Repentance is real. I'm deeply sorry.

quick stuff
-in terms of missionary language during zone council there was like a list of slang words that we can't say now, and like president is saying we just strive not to use slang.
I'm cooked bro,
but like I'm dialed in in Spanish but english is hard
(no podemos decir bro ni bakan) (we can't say bro or cool)

-we got transfer news. I'm staying in coihueco with elder louder to finish his training. I'm excited. should be tuff

- played paddle this pday. shoutout elder Abrams and elder Paulson. it was awesome. after the other elderes left I played the girl behind the front desk at the Paddle place. she taught me the real rules of paddle (we were playing the scoring and stuff like pickleball)

-had interviews with president. got some spiritual knowledge πŸ’ͺ. he congratulated me on the 3 baptisms we had last month and the lots of church attendance. #solounherrimientoenlasmanosdedios

-our friend Jose, the guy I had the opportunity to baptize, passed the sacrament for the first time. he and his mom have temple recommends and are going to the temple this month!!!'

-had some fire lessons this week with the recent converts, especially with the 4 people I helped to be baptized here in coihueco.

-gave a talk in church about the holy ghost

Last 2 paragraphs buckle up

our friend axel
we had always talked to this one guy named axel. he's like 30. he had come to church like 20 times as a kid.  he was like "I'm your neighbor. I'm going to talk to my wife to see if y'all can come and share with us." we saw him like 2 days later and she said no, we couldn't come over. after that we just talked to him for a little bit everyone once in a while. that was with elder Jensen last transfer. flash forward this transfer. we were knocking the doors in our neighborhood,  and we found a lady that was like 50 who wanted us to come over the next day. we got to the crib and apparently her husband is axel. I guess bro likes cougars. (his wife just like my sister Katie fr) But they are both very interested, and their crib is soooooo nice. An axel is actually my goat.

Last week during church we went to the youths Sunday school cuz they asked us to share about the obra misional. I loved that class a lot. the teacher hermano sierra my goat talked about Abraham and how he was ALWAYS faithful and had faith that God was going to cumplir (fulfill no se (know). english is dumb) the promise in his time. it was an awesome lesson, he talked about how Abraham remained faithful and how we should too because he went through everything and still had faith that God was going to fulfill his promise.
This makes me think of one of my favorite quotes from jeffery r holland: "some blessing come soon, some blessings come late, and some blessing don't come until heaven, but for those that embrace the gospel of Jesus christ, they come."
I love this. We as humans have a human mindset and not an eternal perspective. It's hard, and it's hard to when we have righteous desires, and God isn't blessing us with what we want to have. it is also hard when we seem not to know everything.
I would say read mosiah 4:9.
Believe in God and know that He knows more than us, and all that we have to do is have faith.

well that is enough yappage for this week

goals for this next week:
lock in on my exercises
let and help my comp speak 50/50 street and lessons (max difficultly)
-^practices for comp study
-memorize Moroni 10:4-5 in spanish

i just felt like putting those there

Have a great week

February 23-March 2, 2026 Week 35-Coihueco Branch, Coihueco

Hola a todos, como han estado?

Anything baller week πŸ˜Ž
The Lord be blessing me up, this has been my favorite transfer my far. I haven't had a "bad" week since like last year. (There aren't bad weeks when you're in the service of the Lord😎)

Short Stuff

Last P-day we played Paddle. Paddle>Pickleball

Regained contact with our friend Jose. He was a day away from being baptized and then choose not to be. So that is clutch we got back in contact.

Consejo de zona

Met a baller Haitan πŸ‡πŸ‡Ή guy named Belance. He's goated and his Spanish is perfect. Which is good. I've met a lot of Haitians here in Chile, that are either 1: playing dumb so that they don't have to talk to us πŸ˜‚ or. 2: don't speak like any Spanish. Escuchen a mis palabras Γ©l serΓ‘ bautizado este mes de marzo.

8/12 of the reciente converts pulled up to church πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Long stuff

Our friend Haniel
He's an 8 year old from Bolivia I've never had the blessing of meeting. He is a convert of the church and was baptized like 6 months ago. We aren't supposed to pass by his crib, (his dad does sus stuff) but one day we saw 3 young kids in public and they were like elderes elderes elderes. I was like why are these children 8,6,5 ages screaming at us. I see that they are Bolivian and I'm like that may be the convert Haniel I've never met, (elder jensen told me Haniel is from Bolivia). Turns out I was I was right. I wasn't tryna to talk to them that much, but I was like y'all should come to church. And they came just the 3 of them πŸ€£. I sat between them to make sure they were not too loudπŸ˜‚ I have more sympathy for moms and dads that have to control little children nowπŸ˜‚

Our friend Angelina
She is this very very nice older lady and she came to church the last week. We had a lesson with her and she was telling us she is a widow, and her husband just died last year, and we see a pic of her husband and turns out he was 100 when he died, and our friend has like 70 years. So I ask her how old they were went they meet, she said she was 15 and he was 44 when they meet and got married. And that is crazy obvioulsy, but the gift of tongues kicked in and elder louder understood perfectly and he could not stop laughing. He was like laugh crying and I was trying to get this jhit under control while not laughing myself. But she was like, (she was not offened, she was saying it very nicely) what's wrong this that. (bruh that's illegal you a vicitm for real Angelina), and we were saying nothing nothing, and than she hit us with age is just a number and love is love agrument, and let's just say we were at her house for like an hour and that was a pretty funny lesson.

In the mission google photos got banned execpt for pday πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ This is clutch Dios es gran. My comp is a D1 google photos addict, which is fine to look during personal time, but every day I'd be like, "elder why you looking at google photos when I asked you to text... " or "he'd be reading sciptures on his phone". The mission has a google photos addictiction but not anymore πŸ™πŸ™

Zone Council we talked about getting lost in the work of the God. We talked about a lot about the law of consegracion. Talked about that we will have more joy in our mission and help more people come unto Christ if we are diligent and obedient. Was pretty good zone council. And so the zone chat (like the group chat of all the missionaries in the stake) is funny, "can someone get us a map, cuz we are lost😎"

Song of the week: lost by frank ocean

verse of the week: mattew 16:25
